Today marks 3 months since Marie's accident. It has been 3 very long months for her....
This post is from her:
I can't believe 3 months ago today I was fighting for my life. My car accident, trauma, limitations, and scars have changed my life! I want to thank everyone who has stood by me, helped me, and prayed for me. All the prayers worked! I went to my awesome surgeon last Friday. My X-Rays are crazy! I am literally walking METAL! It is really crazy how much metal are in my legs and feet. He said I still have a few more surgeries ahead of me, but he said I can go home in a few weeks!!!! I still have to do my physical therapy. He is very impressed with my progress and I am one of his biggest trauma cases and happy to say one of his biggest success stories. I have scars that have changed me and how I think of life for the better.
It hurt like crazy and I was very dizzy from lying on my back so much for 3 months, but I walked for the first time! I know I still have a long road ahead of me, but I know that with the help of my family and friends, I know it is going to be fine. I love you all and again, thank you to my Dad, my whole family, and friends. Thank you for everything and for praying so hard for me. I couldn't have done any of this without any of you.
Love Ya'll and wear your seat belts!
Marie
